As of 25th May 2018 the GDPR or General Data Protection Regulations came into force along with the UK’s new data protection law. This will affect the way in which companies and organisations manage personal data. This legislation is designed to give rights to the consumer to better control what personal data is held and how it is used by a third party.

We have updated our procedures accordingly and are contacting everyone who currently deals with Charlton Electrical Contractors Limited.

In the procurement and carrying out of electrical works, and also for invoicing, accounts and certification we may have taken the following data from you:

Your name/address/phone numbers/email address/personal or company details in order to achieve the aims of our service and or supply to you. *Please note we do not ask for bank details or offer payment facilities (credit or debit card) either over the telephone, via our webpage or in person. The information above is necessary to enable us to provide you with electrical installation and allied services.

Data retention
We will keep your information for an indefinite period in order to remain of continued service. At any time, we are happy to destroy all data if requested by you to do so. If you wish us to destroy your data, you should make a request in writing to our business address or via email to info@charlton-electrical.co.uk referencing your correspondence GDPR Request. We will inform you when all data has been deleted.

You have a right to ask for a copy of the information we hold. To do this you should make a request in writing to the to our business address or via email to info@charlton-electrical.co.uk

Reassurance
Charlton Electrical Contractors does not and will not share any of your information with third parties without you consent or store any payment information once payment has been received.
It is important to note that if you ask us not to keep your information or account details we will not have access to historical records of works carried out and will not be able to act without initial investigation and creation of current test results. This may considerably increase our costs to you.
The statement below will be taken as accepted unless a response to the contrary.
